I've had the same thing happen over the years. I kept an old laptop running for years because it had an old printshop program that I used to make custom decals. The software was discontinued and I was not able to find a program that would convert the files. I kept that laptop for years just to make decals. Eventually even my printers stopped recognizing it and my decals were lost. Since then I've been through 6 different graphics programs - all of which are much more complex and do all kinds of things that I don't want or need to do - and none of them make decals as quickly and easily as that old program.
