bought the 1/12th. Too bad about the windscreen!

I made the mistake of buying Kyosho's recent Essex Wire 427 and after I got it I realized that I liked the old Ertl better. Not only was the Kyosho's shape still wrong but it had QC issues that I didn't expect based on past experience with their other models and the asking price.

Here's the Ertl Essex Wire after a few minor modifications. It was easier to do this than convert another Solido into one with a racing windscreen. Maybe someday I'll take on that project since I have a spare Solido.
