#452100 Status of American-Excellence (US sub of Modelcarworld.de)

I've been a customer of A-E for several years and have done well by them. I went to their website the other day to look up the new arrivals and, when doing so, received an error message stating: "Unfortunately not items have been found". Same when trying to look up models using their search function. When I notified A-E of this problem, I received an interesting response, quote:

"Unfortunately COVID-19 has caused a severe increase in international shipping charges which effects our daily order of product from Germany, and a severe decrease in sales. Therefore we have been forced to downsize our company rather dramatically. At this time, effective Sunday, Feb. 7, our home office team has decided to halt sales of stock from our Germany facility and have removed those models from our Website.

In the near future, we will be making further decisions on how to move forward. In the mean time we will still offer our US stock for sale on our website, and select models will likely be discounted for Registered Customers as usual.

Thank you for your concern. We truly appreciate your business."
