#446866 Ferrari factory colors..... It wasn't until about mid 1970s

that *RED* became the overwhelming color of choice, with the intro of the 308. Though many of them were painted in other colors too. In the '60s when the 275 GTB's and numerous other road cars were produced, Ferrari had almost 40 standard factory color choices, and about 5 assorted reds - most of them quite dark. There were only 1-2 bright reds depending on the year. VERY many Ferrari's were painted an assortment of colors and none were any shade of red.

There were various golds', bronzes, and browns. Again depends on the year. Add to that, and certain cars were ordered with a custom color from the factory. BBR sometimes will reproduce one of these in model form if they believe it to be a significant car - maybe famous owner, or current high end concours winner, etc. (yes, I did spell 'concours' correctly).
