AA 1:18's were $45.00....and we thought models were expensive back then.
Cost of living increases in China, where 99% of diecast made are made is the cause of the major increase in prices within the last two decades.
Are they worth what they are asking for?
We all seem to be asking ourselves that, every time we buy one because it is a harder and harder question to answer as the years go by and the prices continue to rise.
Personally, I think materially, they are not worth the prices we pay for, and the only driving thing now that makes us buy models in very limited amounts (compared to years ago), is our passion we still have for beautiful cars, unlike in the past where we were more interested in "growing" our collections, I think we are more particular and limited in our choices.
