This past February, my buddy texted me saying he was buying his dream car, a BMW E39 M5, from another buddy. I was very excited for him as he'd been looking on & off for the right deal for a few years. My first question, was what he was going to do with his 2007 Mustang GT that he bought new. He said he hadn't really thought it through & would likely keep it for the time being. I told him if he was going to sell it, to let me know.
2 weeks later, he brought the M5 by (awesome, by the way...as good as I expected) & said he was selling the Mustang & asked if I wanted it. It had 46K miles, was a GT Premium (leather, etc), 5-speed manual with the optional Appearance package (non-functional hood scoop, intake cover & chrome exhaust tips) and 18" rims, that weren't the Bullitt/Torque Thrusts. His price was too good to pass up, though I asked if he could hold off for a couple months. In early May, just in time for my birthday, it was mine.
I am absolutely loving it. Love the styling on the S197 & its a massive improvement ergonomically than the previous SN95 cars. The sound from the 4.6L 300hp V8 is incredible.
