bulk purchases (really because they don't charge fees for international transactions) and b) as I've always had the responsibility for paying all the bills, there's no reason for her to review any of our charge card statements (let alone the mortgage statements, car lease statements, etc)! She's always free to look at them, but when I review the statements I don't question her charges (unless something looks fraudulent) and she doesn't question my keeping the family finances. As long as there's ample money to cover our trips to Europe and to see our granddaughter in Texas, she doesn't care.
