#439296 I have a difficult time with giving Tony ANY credibilty,

which is based on a good deal of personal interaction with him over the years, as well as many others. Tony is NOT any sort of authority, expert, researcher, historian etc. on any automobile. I also have a difficult time believing the restorers of this car were wrong when they first restored 1046 since their goal was to bring it back to the way it was at Le Mans in '66. They did use a brighter darker gold only because that is what the owner of the car specifically wanted used rather than a light champagne color.

With all of that said....and regardless of whether wheels "were" or were not silver in color before being 'checked' for imperfections..... when the wheels were on the cars for practice and all during races, and post race, the COLOR they practiced and raced with was NOT silver. The Spark model is supposed to replicate the car as raced, and the model also has incorrect latch pins on top of the rear body panel, which I know has already been discussed here.

Jack, one question.... who bought lunch, you or Tony?
