and videos on the news but we only had to drive through the torrential rains a few times. My son's house and our two rental houses are all on higher ground so no problem. But we saw a complete bridge which had been carried away - the water rose so high and was so running so strong that it forced the concrete roadway and railing sections to be lifted, in whole sections, off the vertical supports and carried downstream.
