After all, a decade ago AA already flopped with doing exactly the same, and despite making plenty of attractive molds (C6R, Z4 GT, Bentley LM, AM GT to name just a few).

While resin has its known and discussed-to-death advantages and shortcomings, we all know that a sealed diecast is underperforming.

Also, the Lambo Veneno choice is tricky - this car is at the same time super-mainstream but also highly controversial.
Probably a universally awaited and popular car would have made a better series entry, like the new Mustang or a C7.
But then, there are proper opening mainstream models in the making which would kill the sealers off.
Difficult.
