when I got the much then hyped AA Signature Series 908/03 years ago.
For a Signature Series AA model, it was quite disappointing, especially as the lack of detailing and very plasticky, almost toy-like engine compartment was accompanied by a lot of inaccuracies.
I kept the model despite its shortcomings and it stays in my Porsche display because it is a major "must have" car in my collection.
There are certainly other models in my collection (PMA's Bently Blue Train Special is another one) that came close to being real big disappointments because of similar reasons. but also for similar reasons, they will stay in my collection.
