This is a pretty simple mod of a Kyosho early version 365 GTB4. The car modeled is Chassis #12547 which was run by the North American Racing Team (NART) at the 1970 Daytona 24 Hours, driven by Ronnie Bucknum and Wilbur Pickett. This was the aluminium bodied protoype which first ran in practice for the 1969 Le Mans race before being eliminated by an on track accident.







At Daytona NART ran this car as well as their 1965 Le Mans winning 250 LM, a 275 GTB, both of their 312Ps and their new 512S. Most of the Ferraris I saw race in the 60s were NART cars and as a result I've decided to convert most of my Ferrari diecasts to NART liveries. As a bonus (since I have a lot of Ferraris), NART ran many of their cars with stripes or in colors other than the plain red of the factory cars which adds some variety.
