When I got mine, I was thinking it was now or never.....
Sure waited long enough for the PMA 1:18 model to finally come out, waited soooo long for a big scale model since I got the 1:43 Brumm model I got in 1990....so I just couldn't take the risk on missing out on it, despite some detailing issues (add in the missing fabric sunroof panel to the plasticky problems) with the big model.
I similarly just pulled the trigger with a pre-order on CMC's Alfa Romeo 8C 2900B Berlinetta. Another grail car for me that I've been pining for since back when I first saw it in a book in the very early 90's. It must be the just short of being the highest I've paid for a diecast model (The AA 1:10 D Type Jag cost just a few bucks more when I bought it), and many people might find it over the top to spend so much on such an model of what many might find as an esoteric Alfa Romeo........ But thus still is my passion for cars and this hobby...
