Starting from a 1984 Peugeot model "PSV" race bike which I bought in college. The rest, five other race bikes, were bought, restored and built in the last four years....
Cycling had always been quite a big sport here in the 70's to the present, so many many bikes from all over the world and many from France (Peugeot, Gitane, Motobecane, Mercier, Vitus....etc..) were imported and sold in the US in the 70's until the mid 90's. I would even dare say that a lot of Euro bike manufacturers actually sold more bikes in the US than in Europe. These days many bikes still have the old European brand names, but most of them are now built in China.
