#430052 I restore, build, collect and ride race bikes from the 80's.

Personally, I much prefer the bikes from the 80's to modern bikes as I think the design of race bikes back then reached a zenith when it comes to mechanical purity and aesthetics. Plus it was back in the 80's when I rode and enjoyed race bikes for many miles and years, when I was in college, so these older bikes are what I am used to riding.
I decided to get back into riding about four years ago, because I wanted to do something different from just collecting diecasts as a hobby as the price of 1:18 models were getting so unaffordable,..... which then led to me acquiring, restoring and building my dream bikes from the 80's. My stable of bicycles expanded from an 84 Peugeot Steel race bike to now having two steel and four carbon fiber race bikes, one CF bike from the early 70's and the rest from the 80's. No modern bikes in my small stable. The best thing is, I get to own and ride pretty much the same race bikes that the pros were using back in the 80's for quite affordable prices, and I noticed that they values go up through the years very nicely, as long as you choose which one to buy and own carefully.....
