... yes, that is true. It is a model of Chinese 1960 Chang Jiang 750 with sidecar which is a copy of Russian 1956 IMZ M72 which is a copy of German 1938 BMW R71. The model is in 1/18 scale, it is plastic and it is made by Centrury Dragon exclusively for Chinese market. I have mine thanks to my Ph.D. student who has returned from China and has brought it from there for me (I have paid the model to him, he only transported the model to me). The model is a limited edition of 500 pieces and mine is #39. The details of the model are really great as you can see in the photos below. The bike is also produced in 1/10 scale by Kyosho (in the same colour or all in black) but that model is incorrectly labeled as 1/18 scale on the box and the model is sold in eBay as 1/18 but it is 1/10. The only model of this bike in 1/18 is that one made by Century Dragon. Here are the photos:
